Wellington comedian Rhian Wood-Hill takes a lot of gambles. Embarking on a 500-mile walking tour across in the height of Australian summer, for example. But sometimes he knows what he’s doing: On stage and at the poker table Wood-Hill has charm, wit, and thorough analysis ensuring his success – although his career has not landed him at Nelson Fringe without some wacky risks.
Rhian-vested is Wood-Hill’s brand new hour comedy special about his time as a professional poker player. This very special New Zealand International Comedy Festival preview raises the personal stakes even higher than before. Wood-Hill’s debut solo show may have delved deep into family drama but Rhian-vested strips Rhian and his own decisions bare to show the highs and lows of living off casino cash on the Brisbane coast. Pop a few chips on the table; Rhian is all in and has some tall tales to tell… but he isn’t bluffing.
“Rhian's unpretentiously direct approach to relating his personal tale is immediately engaging” –Theatreview (How I Met My Father)
This show has been adopted by the wonderful people from The Playhouse Cafe and Theatre. Thank You!!!
